WAS Executive Committee

Rosemary Coates has stepped down from the Presidency for reasons of ill-heaevan
Kevan Wylie has taken over as President. 
This transition is partially covered in the Statutes and By-Laws in reference to a President voluntarily leaving office. 
However, the Statutes do not provide any guidance regarding the various positions of an existing administration when the President voluntarily resigns during their term.
For the remaining period of this administration’s term of office, the Executive Officers have determined that:

  • Kevan Wylie has moved from the position of Vice President to that of President.
  • If the vice president becomes President because of a President's resignation, he or she is able to run for a full term as President.
  • Pierre Assalian remains as Secretary General/Treasurer.
  • Eusebio Rubio-Aurioles remains as Immediate Past President (a member of the executive committee, a member of the advisory committee and chair of the council of past presidents).
  • Rosemary Coates continues as a member of the Advisory committee and will join the Council of Past Presidents.
